Baltimore and its suburbs hold the largest share of Maryland's members, with Elkridge, Catonsville and Glen Burnie on the south side and Rosedale, Essex and Middle River to the east. The Washington suburbs in Montgomery and Prince George's counties come next, from Silver Spring and Germantown to Bowie and Upper Marlboro. Hagerstown stands out in the west, and a few members live on the Eastern Shore.

Getting around: Baltimore and Washington are forty-five minutes apart on I-95 or the Parkway, so the two suburban belts overlap around Laurel and Columbia. I-70 reaches Hagerstown in about ninety minutes, and the Bay Bridge carries US-50 over to the Shore.
Meeting up: most Maryland members are inside the Baltimore–Washington corridor, where a thirty-mile radius takes in both cities. Beltway traffic decides the timing.
