Getting around: I-35 links Wichita with the Kansas City suburbs in about two and a half hours, and I-70 runs from Kansas City through Topeka and on across the plains to Colby, five hours west.
Meeting up: for Kansas City members the state line hardly matters: the Missouri side is minutes away and doubles the number of people nearby. Wichita is its own scene, and western Kansas members usually travel.
